What is a restorative yoga class?
By definition, restorative yoga is a restful practice that holds yoga poses (asanas) for a longer duration using props like yoga blocks, blankets, and bolsters. It is a practice of deep relaxation that emphasizes the meditative aspect of yoga—the union of body and mind. Gentle Reiki touch will be offered throughout the class.

Meet the Instructor
Kathie holds a 500 hr. RYT Certification. She has studied with The Hard & The Soft
Yoga Institute, which is one of the most prestigious and comprehensive yoga teacher
training schools in the United States. She has studied directly under Beryl Bender Birch,
an internationally renowned yoga teacher and author. Components of the 500 Hr.
Training Kathie has received include, Sutra Study, Alignment, Yoga Nidra, Anatomy & amp; Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation. She has also studied with Mindful Yoga, specializing in trauma informed yoga and holds a Level II Reiki Certification. Kathie’s style of teaching is based on the ashtanga sequences and has been adapted for every “body”. You will hear her say quite often “Honor the body you are working with today”.
