Discover how to practice Yoga safely and effectively and more importantly, how to get the most out of postures for your body. Learn how to address any areas where you currently experience pain, enabling you to feel more comfortable in your body. This workshop will give you the tools to align optimally for your body which leads to a more fulfilling yoga practice.
Do you want to feel yoga poses open up for you in a whole new way? The difference in doing a yoga pose in optimal alignment, rather than simply putting yourself in the general position of the pose, or worse yet, what you have seen a pose “look” like in a photo, is like night and day. You will receive the full benefit of the pose and see that it feels amazing! Yoga can help you find freedom from pain and restriction, as has been proven time and again.
Bring your mat, water bottle, notebook and pen and wear comfortable clothes. We will be breaking down postures, discussing and demonstrating the alignment of each and incorporating the utilization of props. Props can and should be our friends. While we will not be flowing through an entire practice, you will be going into postures to find your sweet spot in each pose. These principals will follow you everywhere.
Forget about what a pose is “supposed” to look like and come learn how the pose should feel ~ for your body! Honor the Body you are working with ~ Every Day!
